Project Main & Slipway Development for Oceanfast
Client Van Der MEER Consulting for Oceanfast Luxury Yachts
Work included shop detail drawing, supply, fabrication, surface treatment, installation and commissioning of 160 tonne of structural and mechanical steelwork.

The main wedge trolley was assembled in our workshop undercover using the low cost electric cranes then transported to site in two sections. This eliminated the requirement for expensive on site installation costs.

Project Hill 50 Gold Mine – Elution Column
Client Mount Magnet Gold – Harmony Gold Mines

Work included engineering design, detail drawing, supply, fabrication, testing and surface treatment of one only elution column built to AS1210 – 2b.

The vessel operates at 110 deg C, and is rubber lined and steam cured with a product designed to operate at 130 deg C. The vessel is also insulated and clad with stainless steel to maintain temperature.

Project Pile Gate Frame Fabrication and Erection
Client Transfield Macmahon Contractors Joint Venture

Work included shop detail drawing, supply, fabrication and delivery to site of the pile gate frame for the Australian Marine Complex. The frame was built in our fabrication workshop in one Piece then transported to site on our platform trailer. This eliminated the requirement for on site assembly and welding.

The frame is used for pitching 4 off 42m long 1000mm diam piles At a time ready for driving at the Australian Maring Complex.

Project Fabrication of Blocks 8 & 9 of Hull 77
Client Austal Group of Companies

Work included the fabrication, transport and installation of blocks 8 & 9 of Hull 77, a 56.5m long steel hulled luxury yacht being constructed by the Austal Group for an American Client.

Block 8 measured 24m long, 10m wide, 6m high and weighed 25 Tonne.

Block 9 measured 12m long, 10m wide, 2m high and weighed 7 Tonne.

Project 85 Tonne SWL Lifting Beams
Client Vulcan Heavy Haulage

The Vulcan Engineering heavy haulage department won a job turning two vessels for Austal Ships that weighed 150 Tonne.

Problem was that 2 off 85 tonne lifting beams were required, we did not have and the job have to be done tomorrow.

The Vulcan Engineering Team carried out the engineering design, detail drawings, supply, fabrication, proof load testing and surface treatment of the two beams over a 24 Hour Period.

Vulcan Engineering has the capability to carry this out any time for any client.

Project Wanaea Cossack Oil Field Development
Client John Holland Construction and Engineering for Woodside Offshore Peroleum

Work included the supply, fabrication, testing, surface treatment assembly and delivery to the Jervoise Bay Load Out Wharf – Skid 505B for the Wanaea Cossack FPSO (floating production, storage and offloading facility).

The skid weighed 460 Tonnes when the unit departed our works.

Primary Structure fabricated by United Construction in 2 halves. Pipe Spooling fabricated by John Holland Construction.

All remaining fabrication by Vulcan Engineering.
All assembly, welding and testing by Vulcan Engineering.

Project Various Underwater Operation Contracts
Client Dawson Brown & Root / Woodside Underwater Opps

Work included fabrication of Roving Offshore Vehicles fabricated in both steel and aluminium.

Fabrication of ROV Launch & Recovery Systems.

Fabrication of Chemical Injection Skids

Fabrication of tools used for straightening works on the Goodwin “A” Jacket.
