To support our site based project work, Vulcan Engineering operates a large and efficient heavy engineering workshop from our Quill Way (Cockburn Road) operation. The workshop specialises in the fabrication of pipe spooling, mechanical and platework fabrications, pressure vessels, tanks, bins, silos and associated steelwork. Marine fabrication is our preferred and strongest side of fabrication work.

Vulcans workshop operates as a separate identity and actively engages in fabrication works for clients that are not associated with our on-site construction service.

Our main fabrication workshop has 2610 m2 undercover and is serviced by several 10 Tonne Electric Overhead Cranes. The main fabrication bay has a span of 24m, is 72m long and has a height of 10m under the crane hooks.

A second workshop is under construction behind the main fabrication shop. Dimensions of the new shop are 30m wide x 65m long and will have 9m under the hook of 16 tonne electric overhead cranes. When complete the building is poised to become the Vulcan Blast & Paint Facility, which shall ultimately transform Vulcan Engineering into the true “One Stop Shop”.
